Widow Circle of Support

It’s Lifey Circles of Support are judgment-free gatherings for women who’ve lost a spouse. Everyone here “gets it.” We’ve all ridden the emotional roller coaster—grief, life changes, awkward paperwork battles (looking at you, unhelpful companies), and the search for peace.

It’s not a gripe session, though we listen. It’s not therapy, though we use real prompts to spark connection. It’s a place where “I’m sorry for your loss” becomes “I feel that too—let’s get through it together.”

We talk about triggers, tough days, guilt, regrets, lonely chores, healthy coping (and when it slips into numbing out), and—most importantly—finding your people. We cry, get angry, laugh hard, swap numbers, and leave knowing we have someone to call—no matter what.

Hi, I’m Jen. In May 2024, I became a widow.

My husband Jack and I were on a dream trip to Greece when he woke me clutching his chest. We were on a remote island with no emergency services. I ran for help—but within minutes, he was gone.

I had to navigate international logistics, tell our kids—his, 16 and 18, and mine, 14—and fly home alone.

Losing Jack was the most devastating moment of my life—but not my first major life shift. Life has thrown me my share of curveballs – divorce, blending families, addiction, widowhood. Been there. And I have learned that connection is not just helpful—it’s survival, because there’s nothing more powerful than talking to someone who truly gets it – someone in it with you, or someone who’s made it through.

So, I started It’s Lifey – a way to connect those moving through life’s hardest chapters, starting with widowhood.

Because the antidote to loneliness is community. And I’m here to build one.
