When building Presence&Co, I wanted to make sure we were building with intention. That our mission, vision, and values were clear to anyone who wondered. I spent a lot of time crafting these statements to ensure people could clearly understand what we stand for and why we believe genuine human connection is what we need more of in the modern world.
Our Mission
Presence&Co is a modern third place designed for genuine human connection, well-being, and growth. Presence&Co is where conversations, curiosity, creativity, and community come to life. Through meaningful experiences, we empower individuals to live with presence, purpose, and courage.
This is the whole point: We believe that humans blossom into their best selves in a community where they can be authentically themselves and fully present. It matters that in a world designed to keep us alone, we resist and build community anyway. It matters that in a world focused on keeping us chronically online, we prioritize in-person connection. It matters that in a globe prioritizing consumption, we prioritize creation. It matters that in a world focused on productivity, we prioritize purpose. It matters that we dare to design lives that don’t just look good on social media, but feel good in our souls. That is why I built Presence&Co, and that is the mission I work towards more and more every day.
Our Vision
We envision a world where genuine connection and well-being are prioritized. Presence&Co strives to build a supportive, mindful community where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to live authentically and wholeheartedly.
I’ll admit this is a lofty goal, but I think if we could get there, even just within the doors of Presence&Co, our world and our community would be better for it. Humans are designed to want to feel seen, valued, and heard for who they really are, and yet, so often in our culture, we punish those who fall outside the “norm”. We don’t usually celebrate those who are brave enough to show the world their authentic, creative, magical souls. But we do here. Here, diversity is welcome. Creativity is welcome. Authenticity is welcome. Courage is welcome. Kindness is mandatory.
Our Values
Presence&Co is a values-driven company. Our driving values are courage and connection. There are many ways to define these words, but we prefer Brené Brown’s definitions.
“Courage is to tell the story of who you are with your whole heart.”
“Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued.”
Everything we do at Presence&Co is rooted in these values—because when we create space for courage and connection, we build a happier, healthier world.
People often ask me why I chose these values, and the truth is, they are my primary values. I chose them because what matters most to us is likely what we will default to when things are hard, when we are in a rush, or when we are unsure. I know in my heart that no matter what, if I push myself to be courageous, to share myself fully with my whole heart, I will live a better life for it. I know that as long as I’m prioritizing connection both within myself and with others, everything will turn out okay in the long run.
A little-known fact about Presence&Co is that the Co doesn’t stand for company, and it’s a total pet peeve of mine when people assume that it does. It stands for our values, Courage and Connection. When I say I built this space with intention, I really mean every last detail.
