The Nutcracker Tea is a holiday networking afternoon for women business owners, hosted by Kate Powers and Heather Carroll at Presence & Co in Reading. Holiday tea and treats, an ornament you make yourself, photos at a Nutcracker backdrop (this is Boston, after all), and a curated networking round built so every woman in the room hears what you are offering this season.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You arrive, you tuck your holiday offer card into each of the 35 goodie bags, and then you pour yourself a cup of holiday tea. There will be marzipan, macaroons, and tea sandwiches.
Have a holiday sweater or a festive outfit you have been waiting to wear? Wear it.
Mix: the networking round. Inspired by the Waltz of the Flowers, each woman moves table to table and shares her holiday offer, or her 2027 look-ahead if she is not running a holiday promotion. By the end you will have heard from most of the room, not just the women at your table.
Make: Heather leads an ornament-making round. You make one and it goes home with you.
Mingle: photos at the Nutcracker backdrop, one more cup of tea, and time to find the women you want to follow up with.
WHAT TO BRING
About 35 holiday offer cards. A business card with your holiday special on it works: a promotion, a gift certificate, a discount code, a package. No holiday offer? Bring a card with what you are building in 2027.
Your festive outfit. Optional, encouraged.

A goodie bag with 35 holiday offers from the women in the room, a handmade ornament, photos, and a list of new people to follow up with.
